Hi, everybody! My name is Monkey D. Luffy and today I’ll tell you some interesting story… Are you ready?

My adventure of piracy was beginning when I was about six-seven. In small harbor village (where I used to live) I met a first pirate captain - ‘Red-Haired’ Shanks and his strange crew. Quickly I realized what a brave and honorable men Shanks and his comrades were. They become my best friends and also kind of authorities. Especially Shanks… I never thought that usual pirate would be ready to risk own life to protect someone else (I owe him my life). I vowed to be just like him one day.
In day of our separation he entrusted me his most precious treasure – straw hat (which later become a my ship symbol). I never forget that special moment because I gave a very important promise…



About ten years later I finally decided to fit my dream of piracy, so I left a village and started looking for companions on the journey (but before I did I had to… filled my stomach up! ).


_{Alright… The most important person which I need on my ship is .. a cook! And a musician! Maybe also a navigator.. and a few comrades. I think…}

But my first nakama wasn’t a cook or navigator..
My nakama was a pirate hunter! And a pretty good swordsman!!!



RORONOA ZORO!

I didn’t care who he was! When I heard how powerful he is I already known that he had to join to my fleet! It was very difficult to force Zoro. But at last he gave bounty hunting up and joined to crew in exchange for his help in escaping execution.
I chose Zoro because he’s an extremely talented person, he’s as strong as me and the one and only uses techniques of tree katanas! _~Sugooooooi!
Maybe at first sight Zoro doesn’t look like sociable and friendly person but I know that he’s very loyal guy. He enjoys sleeping _{(I can’t wake him up even during storm!)}, training (he still want be better fighter than he is) and drinking <sub>(sake of course ).

Zoro just like me is extremely lame at understanding geographical directions. We usually get lost very easily ^^’

Well known for everybody as pirate thief and excellent pickpocket. Her favorite work is raising money and no spending it off. Maybe it seems to you that she’s very mean and selfish… _{(Yeah, you’re right. She is)} But only few people know what special abilities she has got. Nami is very good at recognizing and analyzing changes in weather (what is greatly useful skill on the ship) and indicating good geographical directions. _{Thanks to her me and Zoro will never get lost. I think…}
Nami biggest dream is to draw a complete map of the whole world! She’s ambitious and stubborn (seldom change mind). I have to say that she’s a really strong girl!

Thanks to him we finally have our first ship! It was a gift from Usopp’s friend Kaya (princess from the place where he used to live) and it was named “Going Merry” ( ゴーイングメリー号 ,).

Beyond cooking Sanji has a second life’s passion which are women. He’ll never permit to harm women (because his strong sense of chivalry) and loves flirting with them.
